Annual NEHFES Members Meeting: Sunday, May 17, 2026, with Guest Speaker on Yiddish Newspapers

Our president, Nancy R. Savin, is thrilled to announce that our recently hired Yiddishcist, Jacqueline Nekhe Krass, will be the guest speaker at the 20th Annual NEHFES Members Meeting on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 7:00pm EDT. The meeting will be held via Zoom. Members will receive the link and agenda in advance of the meeting, and are encouraged to forward the information to relatives or others who might be interested.
Our guest speaker is an acclaimed writer, researcher, Yiddish translator and Managing Editor of In Geveb: A Journal of Yiddish Studies, Jackie will hold forth on "Finding Yiddish Newspaper Articles about NEHFES and Chesterfield, CT, 1890 - 1930."
After Jackie's presentation, our president Nancy will call our annual NEHFES business meeting to order for voting by NEHFES descendant members in good standing.
We look forward to hearing Jackie's talk and seeing our members on May 17.
